Four students studying IVE Higher Diploma in Hotel and Catering Management had engaged in a 2-month industrial attachment (IA) programme offered by Hotel Mercure Majestic at La Baule, France. “My IA experience was unforgettable as I have an opportunity to work at a hotel in France. After all, the working and learning experience in France was truly a priceless experience for me to explore the local culture, language and lifestyle in France.” said Karen.

Albert Kwok, studying Higher Diploma in Tourism and MICE, contextualized what he has learned into practice by taking part in a two-month overseas industrial attachment at the JTB Corporation in Hokkaido, Japan from July to August 2019. “this 2-month internship was a life changing experience for me which had not only strengthened my Japanese proficiency but also enhanced my social skills through interacting and cooperating with my fellow colleagues. Spending 2 months living in Japan had also enriched my knowledge in Japanese culture and tourism industry.” said Albert.
