Smart Hospitality Express – Interactive Smart Activities on the GO!
To spark students’ interest on Smart technologies and innovations adopted in hotel, tourism, catering and sports industries, IVE Hospitality Discipline is introducing the “Smart Hospitality Express” - a classroom on the wheels to bring you and your students fun and interactive Smart experiences on demand. These activities are uniquely designed for Secondary 4-6 students who are studying “Tourism and Hospitality Studies” (THS), Sports or suitable for Other Learning Experience (OLE). Interested teachers and career masters can simply complete below google form for application or directly enquire with Whatsapp no. 2957 5718.

Activities:
1) Smart Hotel Security Challenge - Students are given some smart hotel door keys to unlock the programmed hotel rooms with iPad. Through the activity, students can understand how smart door lock systems are applied in Smart hotel environment and the latest applications of smart technology in the hotel industry.
2) Tray Carrying Challenge with balance sensor - Students can experience to carry a tray of wine glasses and walk for a certain distance which simulates the work of a waiter in a restaurant. The key is to perform the task stably. A balance sensor will be placed on their hands to measure their stability.
3) E-tongue Challenge - The game is designed to challenge humans’ taste buds. Students are required to identify the ingredients of various non-alcoholic drinks and compare with the findings generated by the “E-tongue”.
4) Enjoy @ Home Smart Sports and Tourism (EAST) - The game enables students to enjoy virtual tours to various local attractions and do exercises simultaneously with a mobile application. What’s more? students can take photos with their friends and families at the attractions for sharing.
